Convert Items and Expenses

Audience: Accounting Manager 

Summary: Costs such as tax and freight are often not included on a purchase order but still appear on the invoice. This article reviews how to convert these captured items into expenses when using the PO Match feature. Expenses can also be converted to items in the same way.

Converting Items to Expenses in New View

1. Select the line to convert by checking the box next to it.
2. Click Line Actions.
3. Select Convert Line from the dropdown.
   • This can only be done before the invoice is saved for the first time.

Converting Items to Expenses in Classic View

1. Navigate to the line item.
2. Click the arrow button to convert the item to an expense.
   • This can only be done before the invoice is saved for the first time.
