Audience: Accounting Manager
Summary: Reviews the types of syncs you can expect when onboarding and using MineralTree regularly.
Initial Sync
The initial sync is the first time you sync to your ERP. It can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the size of the files and the quantity of records.
It includes:
- All Master Data
- Chart of accounts
- Vendors
- Entity information
- Accounting periods
- Open AP invoices
- Open Credits
- Open Purchase Orders
- Partial Payments
The initial sync will not stop or pause until it is complete.
Historical Sync
The historical sync automatically begins next. It pulls the last 12 months of payments from the accounting system. It does not create a “last synced” time stamp. You can see the progress from a banner on the landing page. Because there’s so much data being pulled across, this sync can take much longer to complete than the initial sync.
Delta Sync
The Delta (Ongoing) Sync is your day-to-day sync. While the initial and historical sync happen only once upon initial setup, this happens every multiple times a day. when logged into MineralTree. It syncs over any changes to and from your ERP.
You can see the last time you successfully synced with your accounting system by clicking your mouse on the cloud icon in the upper right corner. From there you can see the last time MineralTree synced with your ERP.
