Deleting Invoices in MineralTree and Your Accounting System

Summary: This article explains when invoice deletions do and do not sync between MineralTree and supported accounting systems. Deletion behavior depends on the accounting system integration. In some cases, invoices must be deleted manually in both systems to keep records accurate.

  • Only users with the Accounting Manager role can delete invoices in MineralTree.
  • Whether a deletion syncs depends on the accounting system integration.
  • Some integrations require invoices to be deleted in both MineralTree and the accounting system.

 

Deleting an Invoice in MineralTree

When an invoice is deleted in MineralTree, it may or may not be deleted in the accounting system. This depends on the integration.

Deleting an Invoice in the Accounting System

When an invoice is deleted directly in the accounting system, synchronization behavior still depends on the integration.

When Manual Deletion Is Required

If your integration does not support deletion syncing, follow these steps to keep records accurate and in sync:

  1. Delete the invoice in MineralTree.
  2. Find the same invoice in the accounting system.
  3. Delete the invoice there as well.

 

Best Practice

Always confirm that the invoice has been removed from both MineralTree and the accounting system. If your integration does not support deletion syncing, delete the invoice manually in both systems to keep records aligned.
