Verify Your Email Address in QuickBooks Online to Authorize the Connection

Summary: Explains how to verify your QuickBooks Online email address so you can authorize the connection to MineralTree.

 

Overview

As of February 2026, QuickBooks Online requires the QuickBooks admin user to have a verified email address in the Intuit system. This verification is required to authorize or maintain the connection between QuickBooks Online and MineralTree.

If the email address is not verified, the authorization attempt will fail and an error message will appear.

Use the steps below to verify your Intuit account email address.

 

Steps to Verify Your Email Address

1. View Your Email Verification Status

Intuit displays your email verification status below your User ID under the Sign in & security section.

 

2. Navigate to Your Intuit Account Settings

To reach this page, log in to QuickBooks Online and follow these steps:

  1. Click your profile icon (the colored circle with your first initial).
  1. Click Manage your Intuit Account.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Sign in & security.
  3. Under Sign in info, locate the Email address field.
 

3. Review and Complete Verification

  • If your email is verified, you will see Verified in green text next to your email address.
  • If your email is not verified, you will see a blue Verify link. Click Verify and follow the on‑screen prompts until the process is complete.

Note: You only need to verify your email address for this purpose. You do not need to verify your phone number.
